Issued in cooperation with the independent certification and auditing institution Bureau Veritas since 2014, the certificate aims to help the companies in the logistics and forwarding industry, including members of UTIKAD in particular, to continue their environmental, social and financial presence for long years.
The companies willing to receive the Sustainable Logistics Certificate are evaluated under "Sustainable Logistics Inspection" heading in terms of the management's commitment in relation to sustainability, environment, energy, occupational health and safety of the company, employee rights, road security, assets and customer feedback management. After the inspection processes, companies that are found to be eligible are granted the certificate.
UTIKAD continues its efforts to present the first and only Sustainable Logistics Certificate in the world to the use of the world logistics industry as a good example.
With its Sustainable Logistics Certificate, UTIKAD was awarded the Low Carbon Hero Award, which is presented to organizations that support anti-climate change efforts by reducing their carbon footprint, within the scope of the Istanbul Carbon Summit held on 26 April 2018.
